Hello, welcome to Weddings by Kwaitie…

I’m Kwaitie and I look forward to meeting you and helping you prepare for the most wonderful day of your life….

If you’re here then there’s every chance you’re newly engaged, congratulations!

I am Warwickshire born and bred and I have worked, lived and married here so I know the area very well. I have great local connections and a strong presence on social media, which enables me to have great working relationships with top calibre suppliers and keep up to date with all of the latest innovations and ideas within this exciting industry.

Warwickshire is a beautiful county with so much to offer both the local couple and visitors looking for a wedding destination. We have historic castles to boutique hotels, cricket club lawns to Michelin starred dining. There really is something for everyone and with so many high quality suppliers so close, your carbon foot print can remain low whilst maintaining the highest of standards.

I remember very well the enormous task ahead of you now and whilst it is magical, it can also be daunting. This is a potentially stressful time as well as a very emotional one. With me to help, I can take some of that strain and keep this a wonderful time for you and your partner.

There are misconceptions about wedding planners, especially that they are for big budget weddings but I believe that every wedding is worthy of thorough and imaginative planning, whatever the budget!

I have over seven years experience within hospitality and events, including weddings and have created a strong network of contacts within the industry. I also LOVE weddings and continuously read blogs, magazines and websites to source the most original and quality ideas, products and suppliers.

I blend my professional skills with pure imagination, great contacts and hard work to ensure that every couple gets their day, their way and to suit every budget and style.

I do not have any ties to any particular supplier and am committed only to making your day perfect for you. I offer a bespoke service, from full co-ordination to smaller packages, each tailored to your individual needs, my quotes reflect that.

I do not believe in hidden charges, the extra mile is free!

Please browse each page, which provides more information on services I can offer or alternatively, get to know me . . .

A royal celebration

A royal celebration

Last year was undoubtedly a vintage year for weddings.

The two Kates, Lilly Allen and err me!

The royal wedding captured the imagination of the world, dominating press coverage and beamed across the planet to an estimated 3 billion people!

This year, we have a summer of festivities planned, in a once in a lifetime series of events; the Olympics and the Jubilee, starting with a super long weekend in June.

So, what has this to do with weddings? Well, what do you do if your wedding coincides with, or is even near, a huge national event?

Would you go with it, include it in your styling of the event – I rather like the idea of an old fashioned street party style wedding, complete with union jack bunting and vintage tea plates. Or maybe some sporty games on the lawn of your venue, with keepsake medals for the winners?

I’d love to hear your views on this, do major events influence styling in weddings? Or are there more logistical concerns, such as travel and hotels for London weddings this summer? Was your wedding affected or influenced by the royal wedding last year?

Please leave a comment below, tweet me or drop me a note.

Lots of love,

K Xx

Leap of faith….

Standard

With this being a leap year I decided to ask my readers, would they ever consider popping the question themselves?!

As we all know, once every four years, on 29th  February, ladies get a one off chance (if you’re a traditionalist) to propose.

So far opinion seems to be; of course we can and should take the plunge ourselves – I mean if the shelf in the spare room is anything to go by, waiting for your chap may not be all that wise a choice?!

This got me thinking, if so many of us are willing to do it, surely we must be able to find someone who is actually planning to propose on 29th? And if we find that lady, well I’m proposing to them to follow their story from engagement to the big day, on this blog and to offer full wedding co-ordination, FOR FREE!

So spread the word dear readers, any of you fabulous lot planning a leap year proposal, let me know!

Can’t wait to hear your stories….

Love K Xx
